Once in a while, we like to announce performances from some of the gifted people in our community and promo them in our own small way. So, here two upcoming shows:

• Becki Alexander will be performing in W.A. Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro” produced by the Worcester Opera Works at the Warner Theatre (81 Providence St., Worcester, MA) @ 7:30 PM. Tickets are $15 and it’s accessibly an English production. Becki will be playing the role of Countess Almaviva Click here for the production’s website and more info.

• In another cup of tea, Tom Chan and his rockin’ band Forget the Girl have a gig at the Bulfinch Yacht Club (234 Friend St., Boston). Doors open at 7:30 PM and tickets are $8. Check out their MySpace page for more info and their new album, “Walk Around In Your Head.”
